For the Harper residence, Kingsford provided a full exterior renovation, resulting in a finished product that looked like a whole new house.
We started by removing all of the existing T111 siding from the home, along with all of the existing windows. Our expert crew then carefully inspected all of the home’s wood, repairing and replacing all damaged and soft wood that was found. We also installed new insulation into the house’s walls, as well as new windows with perimeter prairie grids.
Next, we removed the home’s old garage door and replaced it with a brand-new insulated garage door that will help keep the Harper’s garage cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.
Then, we turned to demoing the home’s rear deck and front stoop, including the removal of the front door and half-round window. We installed a new front door with sidelites and framed a new wall above the front door in place of the removed half-round window. Afterward, we installed a new composite front stoop onto the home, which will last for decades without rotting or needing to be painted. We used Versetta Stone around the front door and front gable’s lower section to give that premium stone look.
Finally, we installed shakes and siding with wide-band board for the design and separation of the new siding. The Harpers were left with a completely updated appearance that transformed the look of their home. Kingsford provided a lifetime warranty on all of the materials and workmanship we furnished.
